On March 15, Godrej Properties announced that it has acquired around 50 acres of land parcel in Sonipat, Haryana. The company has made its investment outside its usual Mumbai playground. The acquired land parcel has one million square feet of plotted residential development which is also strategically located with good connectivity of Delhi border. Also, it offers key connectivity to national highways, educational hubs, and industrial hubs of Sonipat.
The MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, Mohit Malhotra has said that this move is the company’s entry into the Sonipat region. This project fits well with the strategy of deepening our presence across the leading real estate markets.

Godrej Properties, the largest listed realty firm in the previous in terms of sales booking, acquires land parcels via joint ventures with the landowners. In Feb 2020, the company has acquired a nearly 27-acre land parcel in National Capital Region for Rs.1359 crores to develop a luxurious housing project.
The Mumbai-based firm Godrej Properties has not disclosed the deal value and the name of the seller yet.
