An eight-lane expressway with four cloverleaf interchanges that connects Noida International Airport to Yamuna Expressway is now prepared for launch, just four months away. The 31-kilometer route that will link the airport with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Ballabhgarh in Haryana includes the 750-meter stretch that will serve as the airport’s main entrance. It is anticipated that the connection road will be finished in the upcoming months.
The eight-lane interchange, which was built by the NHAI at a cost of Rs 200 crore, will facilitate travel between the expressways and the airport, which is anticipated to handle 5–6 million passengers in its first year and eventually 12 million passengers annually in its first phase.
NHAI will also build two additional roads close to the airport to ensure a strong road network. One is an 8.2 kilometer route that will be 30 meters wide and will be finished in the coming months. It connects the expressway to the northeastern side of the airport’s cargo terminal. To make VIP and emergency movements easier, an 800-meter VIP lane is also proposed to connect the Yamuna Expressway to Noida airport.
A plan to connect Noida Airport with NH-34, which passes via Sikandrabad in Bulandshahr, is also being investigated by UP.
