The New Circle rate has been improvised by the Gurugram Administration in the district announced on Tuesday. The officials in the Gurugram administration have confirmed that the circle rate in the district has been revised due to the rise in demand, market rate, and registration over the past years. The circle rates have been hiked for the projects located in Golf-Course Road, Golf-Course Extension Road, Sohna Road, and Dwarka Expressway.
Circle rates are defined as the minimum price at which properties can be sold. The authority has been given to the state government to regulate the circle rates and adjust them with due time to stay in line with the pricing trends in the market.
The implemented hike ranges from 10% to 30%, but overall on average, the increase is approximately about 15% to 20% across the district. Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon said that the new rates that came into the force from January 1 have been revised based upon the revenue data and it has been ensured that affordable housing in Gurugram will not be affected.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that the collector rates have been hiked by up to 66% in Gurgaon Tehsil, 5%-10% in Wazirabad tehsil, and up to 38% in Manesar tehsil. There have been no changes made in circle rates for Sohna, Pataudi, Farrukhnagar, Kadipur, Badshahpur, Harsaru for group housing societies.
The circle rates in multi-story group housing, independent floors, private builder areas have been hiked by 10%-20% in Gurgaon Tehsil, 10%-45% in Wazirabad Tehsil, 10%-15% in Badhsahpur Tehsil, 40%-45% in Kadipur Tehsil and Harsaru Tehsil. No changes have been made in Sohna and Pataudi areas.
For agricultural land, the circle rate has been hiked up to 5%-10% in Gurgaon and Sohna, up to 25% in Manesar, 15%-20% in Waziraba,d and Badshahpur, and 30%-40% in Kadipur and Harsaru tehsil.
