The FASTPAS (Fast and Simplified Trust-Based Plan Approval System) system, developed by the Uttar Pradesh government, is all set to be launched. Builders can use this technique to quickly obtain approval for maps and layouts of buildings and townships.
Because the state has introduced new tools and concepts to encourage urbanization, the current platform does not encompass them. In addition to other possibilities, the FASTPAS would allow applicants to acquire additional FAR (Floor Area Ratio), ease land use changes, and obtain compensating FAR.
Another factor in the decision to make this move is that the existing online building plan approval system (OBPAS), which was established in 2019 and was created under a PPP model by a private business hired by the housing department, did not fully own the data.
To get no objection certifications and approvals, the FITPAS would function as a single window system connected with internal and external authorities.
Similar to how the GIS master plan would be linked, the zonal plan, logistics plan, transit-oriented zone, mobility plan, title ownership, and land use would all be included.
