The Indian real estate is witnessing a major boom with foreign investment. The recent report by Colliers India shows upward movement in global investment. This hike is 3-times higher from 2017 till 2022 and it constitute to $26.6 billion.
‘India –High on Investors’ Agenda’ the recent report by Colliers’ show that foreign investments are increasing in the Indian property market largely. The report evaluates that the increase is a result of major amendments in structural policies, transparency in operations and ease of doing business in the country.
Sankey Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director at Colliers India said, “Office sector saw the highest investments during 2017-22, accounting for about 45% of the total foreign inflows. While investors remain buoyant on office assets, their interest in alternative assets is surging.”.
Another reason behind this growth is strategic partnerships and strong business fundamentals. Also, the positive economic fluctuation and continuous growth of the realty sector in the country attracted foreign investments.
As per the report, foreign investments hold a generous share of 81% of the overall real estate investments from 2017-2022. The pro-investor policies, transparent business operations, and expansion in the investment limit are the encouraging factors for global investors.

The Indian realty market offers lucrative costs, better valuations, and high yields in the context with global and APAC investors. India has become a preferred investment destination for foreign investments as cities across the country offers high returns at comparatively low pricing values.
The expected upswing in the Indian real estate is likely to broaden the scope of investment in the sector.
