Buddh International Circuit is ready to welcome competitors for the Bharat Moto GP to be held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. From 2011 to 2013, the track played host to three Formula One races and will host the premier motorcycling championship next weekend from September 22 to 24 as the 13th round of the 2023 MotoGP Championship.
The real estate sector is likely to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Moto GP. The event will increase the visibility of Greater Noida as a major sporting destination and boost demand for real estate in the area. The event will put the city on the map, which might draw new companies and citizens. Property values in Greater Noida are therefore anticipated to increase further in the years to come.
The track was constructed to accommodate both automobiles and bikes, but some bends needed to be modified in order to meet FIM regulations, which are necessary to host a Moto GP race. These modifications included the addition of fences and foam barriers.
The Uttar Pradesh government has set aside Rs 8 crore to upgrade the track and fix the venue’s offices and buildings. Since there will be attendees from at least 22 different nations, the government has ordered the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority to take appropriate action to ensure the event is managed in a disciplined manner. The track has been modified, offices have been repaired, the seating area is ready, and the track has been painted, among other things, for a cost of about Rs 60 crore.
A high speed of close to 370 kmph is anticipated for bikes over one of the calendar’s longest straightaways, which measures 1006 metres.
