Tata Housing to Invest Rs.1200 crores to Acquire Land for Premium Housing Projects

India’s top realty firm Tata Housing plans to invest around Rs.1200 crores over the next two years to acquire lands outright or through joint ventures across major cities to offer group housing projects and plotted development for the buyers. Recently, Tata Housing has launched a project named ‘Swaram’ at Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The CEO & MD of Tata Realty and Infrastructure, Sanjay Dutt said that the demand for plots was sold out within 36 hours of the launch and we were able to sell 157 plots for Rs.130 crores.

He also stated that the company will look for the outright acquisition of land and will also form joint development agreements with the landowners. The company is looking to explore land banks ranging from 12 acres to 200 acres. Since the pandemic, Tata Housing is consistently focusing on providing residential and commercial spaces for buyers at an affordable price.

Tata Realty has developed around 17 million square feet of commercial projects and has focused on other 12 million square feet of projects under planning and development.

Dutt also said that the company has been creating properties that will offer greater value to new-age buyers in Bengaluru. Also, the project at Bengaluru is spread over 140-acres and is offering a house to residential complexes, commercial institutions, clubhouses, green spaces, and amenities.
