In Ghaziabad Hiked Circle Rates Come Into Effect

Ghaziabad city has witnessed a circle rate hike which is effective across the district from 24th August. This hike in circle rate ranges between 10% – 20% for the fiscal year 2022-23.  The city witnessed an increase in circle rate now after 2016. An official said that the increased rates will have to be considered for property buy/sell in Ghaziabad. The circle rate is the lowest price at which property can be sold in the respective city.

Kaushambi has a new circle rate that ranges between Rs. 82,000 – 1,13,000 per Sq. Metre. Vaishali now has circle rate between Rs. 77000 Sq.Metre. – 1,00,000 Sq. Metre. Indirapuram has a circle rate of Rs. 64,000 – Rs. 77000 Sq. Metre. Followed by Kavi Nagar where the circle rate ranges between Rs. 50,600 – Rs. 52,600 Sq. Metre.

The officials also said that in the recent times, Ghaziabad which is adjoining Delhi has witnessed huge infrastructural development like Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS (Under process) and Delhi Metro have also enhanced connectivity.

The new revised circle rates came into effect from Monday, as nearly 200 Objections/Suggestions were dropped to the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and the Authority took notice of all concerns prior to implementing the new circle rates in the city.

Earlier this month, the continuous dropping of objections and suggestions contrary to the circle rate hike pushed the Ghaziabad administration to defer the circle rate hike announcement by at least 15 days.

In 2016, Ghaziabad witnessed circle rates hike by 5-10 percent. GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority) has suggested a circle rate increase by 10-15 percent for the fiscal year 2022-23.

Ghaziabad Development Authority is created under Section-4 of Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 by Government Order no. 738(1)-37-2-47-DA76, Lucknow dated 9th March 1977. GDA is responsible for the preparation of Master Plan for Planned Urban Development., Development & Control as per Master Plan, Acquisition of Land and Management for Housing and Urban Development, Construction Housing and Development and Provision of Physical and Social Infrastructure.
