The Lucknow Development Authority has planned to construct a ‘’second innings’’ flat at Viraj Khand, Gomtinagar, to provide a safe environment to senior individuals who prefer independent living in a secure and luxurious setting.
The project will be built on a 2,500-square-meter area and consist of a seven-storey structure with eight studio flats on each floor. Every unit will be 400 square feet. The apartments will have enough space, balconies, dressing rooms, and toilets to accommodate older residents’ demands.
The project will have modern amenities such as a swimming pool, yoga/meditation room, physiotherapy room, community kitchen, and club house. A medical emergency ambulance service will also be available on site as part of the project.
Senior citizens with 60 years of age and older will receive the apartments for a set period of time; they will not be for sale. A company will take care of society’s upkeep and send an ambulance there for locals to use in an emergency. Eight studio apartments measuring 400 square feet each will rise on each floor. Each flat will have room for a balcony, a bathroom and a dressing room thanks to the way the units are planned.
