More than 66,500 forms have been sold, and almost 29,000 people have paid earnest money to reserve plots in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s (YEIDA) residential plots scheme, which has only five days left before its deadline expires. Authorities claim that the scheme is being well received and that more than 1 lakh people have signed up, and the number is still growing.
In three YEIDA sectors, namely 16, 17, and 20, which are situated across the Yamuna Expressway, the scheme offers up to 1184 residential plots. The residential plot scheme was introduced on August 8, and the last day to apply for the scheme is September. On October 18, 2023, a fortunate draw will be held to distribute the available plots.
According to officials, as these plots are close to the Yamuna Expressway and the Jewar Airport, the area is expected to experience substantial expansion in the years to come. Additionally, the region is ideal for investment because of impending planned projects like Film City, industrial parks, textile parks, and connectivity with Noida and Greater Noida.
Plots are available in seven various sizes under this scheme: 120, 162, 200, 300, 500, 1000, and 2000 square metres.
